The Hotel Cailler, ideally located in a carefully safeguarded landscape, is sensitive to its environment. Its active commitment to the Gruyère Pays-d’Enhaut Regional National Park is testimony. A staging point for hikers, it also encourages sustainable eco-tourism that respects nature.
Green Energy for Heating The Hotel Cailler was one of the first to believe in wood-fired central heating, even though that meant slightly higher investment costs. For several years now the entire hotel complex has used wood for heating and hot water.
A Clean Hotel To help prevent the planet from being buried in waste, the Hotel Cailler sorts its waste with a special pick-up service for cooking oils, aluminium and paper. The laundry is focusing its efforts on sharply reducing the amounts of detergent it discharges into the environment. Guests should notify staff when they wish to have their clothes and other effects washed.
Energy Savings Nor do lights escape our energy-saving attentions. We use longlife bulbs which consume less energy. |
